This is the final recap of STEAM Storytime’s voyage into outer space, which happened back in March. On week 4 of the month-long series we talked about gravity. Basically, I dropped a bunch of things, shared one of my absolute favorite nonfiction picture book, and we made a mess with paint. Read on! Continue reading “STEAM Storytime: Gravity!”
A month later (sorry, folks) I’m finally finishing my recap of STEAM Storytime’s voyage into outer space. On week 3 we talked about astronauts (aka “star sailors”) and “mousetronauts” (aka… “mouse sailors?”). Read on to learn about how Star Wars hijacked storytime and how we made and launched paper rockets!
Week 2 of our month-long voyage into outer space brought a discussion about planets and their moons (did you know that Saturn has 62 moons?). Read on for a mini book tour of the planets, occasional space facts, and one of my favorite activities ever.
New job, new program! Our STEAM Storytime is targeted for 3-6 year-olds. It happens on a Monday afternoon and we read at least one nonfiction book and end with a hands-on experiment. For the month of March, we’re traveling to outer space! Read on for the first week’s program.
